The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art has a distinguished history of presenting significant exhibitions. Solo and thematic exhibitions have included work in a wide range of media that examine diverse artistic sensibilities. The museum has organized important traveling exhibitions including, LeWitt x 2; Jim Dine: Drawing from the Glyptothek; Claes Oldenburg: Printed Stuff; Ursula von Rydingsvard: Sculpture; and Donald Lipski: A Brief History of Twine.
