Traveling to Downtown Madison from Milwaukee via I-94:
Follow I-94 as it turns into Highway 30. Take the Highway
151 exit ("State Capitol" exit) on your right. Highway
151 turns into East Washington Avenue. Follow East Washington
Avenue all the way to the Capitol building. Take a right onto
Pinckney Street. Follow Pinckney for a block and turn left onto
Mifflin Street. Follow Mifflin for two blocks. Turn left onto
Carroll Street. Note: the Capitol is ringed by one-way streets.
At the next set of stoplights turn right onto West Washington
Avenue. Follow that for two blocks and turn right onto Henry
Street. At the 4-way stop drive on to the next block (where the
Overture Center building is located), or take a left and park
in the Overture Center parking ramp.
Traveling to Downtown Madison from Chicago via I-90:
Take Exit 142 on your left; this is Hwy 12-18. Follow
Hwy 12-18 seven miles to the John Nolen Drive exit, which is
on your right. Follow John Nolen Drive into Madison along the
lake. As you approach the city, you will go through a set of
stop lights, over a small bridge, and a second set of stop lights.
Then turn left onto Broom Street. Follow Broom Street 6 blocks
to Dayton Street. Turn right on Dayton, which will lead you to
the Overture Center Parking Ramp on your right. You can park
and enter the Overture Center building 1/2 block further up the
street.
Traveling to Downtown Madison from Minneapolis via I-90/94:
Take Exit 135A, which is on your right, for US-151 South.
After you head south for about 1/2 mile, take a right onto US-151,
which turns into East Washington Avenue. Follow East Washington
Avenue all the way to the Capitol (the dome is visible in the
distance). Take a right onto Pinckney Street. Follow Pinckney
for a block and turn left onto Mifflin Street. Follow Mifflin
for two blocks. Turn left onto Carroll Street. Note: the Capitol
is ringed by one-way streets. At the next set of stoplights turn
right onto West Washington Avenue. Follow that for two blocks
and turn right onto Henry Street. At the 4-way stop drive ahead
to the next block (where the Overture Center building is located),
or take a left and park in the Overture Center parking ramp.
