I use throwing-and-altering techniques to create functional ceramic objects ranging from tableware to stools. The forms are made with high-fire clays, layered with slips and glazes, and finished in salt, soda, and wood kilns. On unglazed surfaces, I use shaped clay and wadding to create flashing patterns on the work. I also create ceramic jewelry utilizing the shaped clay and wadding.
